An outstanding blue sky day with very little wind on the tower on top of Cannon. It was my first time and I thought Hi Cannon was a blast and in good shape overall. I did it without any traction although some may want spikes after the ladder. There was a good bit of ice on the trail after that. Way up top in the flatter sections there was standing water covered by a thin crust of ice and snow. Made for slippery conditions and places where you can break through. Amazing views from the tower! I would advise spikes going down Kinsman Ridge. There was a lot of ice on that trail. |
