Tested the waters with the recent overnight freezing temps, and found this to be a very enjoyable hike. The trail heading up to Table Mtn seems to be in good shape, and in the steeps is where we initially found some black ice. The ledges were beautiful and offered fantastic views south toward Chocorua, and west to the Sleepers. We made our way up the herd path to the true summit, and continued on our way. Attitash ridge is nice with a few puds before reaching the summit, and very nice woods. We had a snack by the short spur path for the summit and enjoyed the woods. The nosedive off the south side of Attitash is pretty decent. Carefully picked our way down that. The side hill along Lucy Brook was another place that took care for footing. The rest of the trip once we reached the more gradual terrain felt breezy. The only people we saw were not far from Diana’s Baths. Quite a few people coming down the path when we got closer to the lot as well. |
