Up to crossing three, the trail was fairly dry with a few minor mud pits and plenty of leaves.
Occasional ice starting around 3,000 feet or so, but either avoidable or flat. I didn't bring, or ever feel the need for Microspikes (though if we get more precip, that may change). Slight dusting of snow higher up in places, but not enough to cover the ground.
Ski trails are not a viable descent at this point, since the High Country has seen a good amount of snowmaking activity thus far. I suspect the ski area could open after another few days of snowmaking.
