| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Tripoli Rd. was open from the 93 Side, when we arrived there were a couple other cars in the lot with room for more. By the time we left some spaces had opened up and a number of cars were parked on the road. The sign before the gate said “Closed Nov to May”…so sometime soon things will close up. |

Long story short…I needed to trail trace the mile from Mt. Osceola to East Peak. We found much of the trail headed up fine as far as mud and ice -spots here and there, but generally dry. Around the 2-2.4 miles mark the rock spikes were super handy as there as some good stretches of ice much more easily tackled with them on. At the top and across to East Peak we didn’t need spikes at all -small patches of ice that felt easily managed. The chimney was wet in spots with a couple of small patches of ice. We met so many fabulous people and had a super day. Got that one mile in! |
