Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Tripoli Rd from Waterville Valley end is in OK condition. Several large holes, even in the paved portions, keep your eyes open and be prepared to use the whole road width to get around some of them. Standard car can easily make it.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None of significance
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape, no blowdowns. Obstructing some of the herd paths at the summit of Osceola would be helpful
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great for dogs up to Osceola. I would not recommend bringing a dog through the chimney on the way to the East Peak. There are several other spots on the way up out of the col where most dogs will need a hand.
