| Comments: |
We packed our micro spikes after reading previous entries from mid-week soon after the little snow fall event but did not need them at all. Any ice was crushed/granular and easily walked over. Rocks on the trail were exposed and dry so they offered stable footing the entire way. The grasses growing on the summit were encased in clear ice making for a fantastic walk above treeline. Summit conditions were windy but nothing that was going to blow you over! Excellent out and back hike along the AT section I had last done a dozen years ago! |
