|
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Trail head for Glen Boulder crossed due to maintenance for one year. Park at Pinkham notch and take Direttissima to Glen Boulder. Adds a little over a mile but if you want that route, it’s not a terrible extra mile. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |

Rock hoppable water crossings |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Well maintained. A couple blowdowns on Direttissima that were able to be straddled over. Used Direttissima from Pinkham note due to the closure of Glen Bolder Trail head. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Not for the regular dog. Only attempt if your dog is conditioned to distance, bouldering, and technical terrain. This is a long and arduous hike for human and dog. My dog did just fine, but she completed her 48 today! |

Zero |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Knit hat on a tree at Rocky branch - isolation trail intersection. |

| Comments: |
We had all the weather today! Drizzle, sleet, snow, fog, and finished out the day with sun! Trails well maintained. Ice started appearing just after the boulder, then starting seeing light snow, followed by more snow/ice/rime ice in the rock fields heading up the shoulder of Boot Spur. Bring your microspikes! Removed spikes once back to treeline on Davis Path. Isolation trail had a lot of mud in various stages of frozen and very deep at times. |
