The footbridge behind the main lodge is still closed for construction. This can be avoided by using one of the side lots; we parked in the lot to the right, beyond the dumpsters. |

| Comments: |
Generally about an inch of powder, base to summit. No snowmaking on Polecat yet, so no issue hiking today (snowmaking is currently focused on the other side of the ski area). I suspect access may be restricted soon, as the ski season arrives.
Ski trails and Wildcat Ridge Trail had a few areas of hidden ice. Largest stretch of blue ice was on the ascent of Wildcat C, near the boulders, but the ice was generally flat, so we were able to bareboot without fancy footwork. We carried, but never used Microspikes (too much rock/roots for my liking).
Temperatures were in the 30s throughout the day, so there wasn't much melting. Quite windy in the morning, but not quite as bad in the early afternoon. |
