Comments
Comments: Another craptastic shoulder season slog! Lincoln Woods was slushy going in and an absolute slush fest going out. Everything else is exactly how you'd imagine it would be with a couple inches of heavy melting slushy snow. Wore my wp mid runners and my feet were sloshing around inside looooong before we got to any water crossing. Those were easily hopped in fact. Went up the slide which was a little sketchy, but with so many hand and foot holds it wasn't terrible. My partner opted for spikes, but I did not and was comfortable. If it freezes, however, it'll be gnarly. Carry the traction! You'll be glad if you need it :). Took the bushwhack down and was pleasantly surprised at how not slippery it was! Back out the way we came. All in all it could be in much worse shape, but there was quite a bit of melt today. Stay safe out there y'all!
