Comments
Comments: Snow the whole hike - from < 1 inch at the bottom to 4-6 inches in the exposed areas at the summit. Under the trees along the ridge it was probably closer to 4 inches. Snow was soft and compact. I managed to do the whole thing bare booting though you may prefer spikes. There were a few icy patches along the ridge and on the ski trails.

I saw some snow making happening but none of it was on the recommended Polecat route for hiking up.
