Clearing moderate day, sun by summit time. Always a moderate effort. Some water ice starting about half way up, enough to make use of microspikes (recommend rock spikes if you have them), but only patches of crusty snow above tree line. could manage without traction, if desired.
360 views; only higher peaks in Whites were in scattered clouds.
Fire tower is under construction with scaffolding surrounding new cabin,
a very nice early 'warmup' into winter to get the lags moving. A fine easy day had by all.
Temps in 20's, wind ~10mph. |
