Comments
Comments: The forecast was for clear skies and light winds the first part of the day, and we got just that. It was gorgeous. Its definitely winter conditions in these parts. We used our rock spikes door to door, although we could of used our sharp spikes on some of the exposed ice flows. The only difficult spots were the slanted ledges. If you've been up before, you know where they are. There was a small amount of snow over the ice that didn't have good traction. It was manageable with careful foot placement. From the lookout, the push to the top was fine. All the wet, muddy areas from earlier this year were frozen over. Be aware of rime ice falling from the tower. Great views on this clear day. It was a little tedious in some places going down, but overall we made really good time. #29 for the Fall 4 Seasons 48
