I started going up Greenleaf Trail, and there was immediate snow cover. I did put my spikes on once I reached the summit a Lafayette, as there was not much slick ice going up Greenleaf I was lucky enough to get undercast. After I pass the hut I saw no people prior to the hut, and a few people coming down from Lafayette. Once I hit the summit, I saw two of my friends hanging out up there in the gorgeous day and regroup with three people that were continuing on with myself and one that went down to the car. Once we started heading down towards North Lafayette there were some drifts that Did not fill in or packed down. Just very fluffy. Met up with another friend before we headed down Skookumchuck Trailhead. There’s a few times we had to sit down and slide on the ice. Once they started to continue down more people joined in, and we did finally get their ground again before coming out. Skookumchuck Trail was my last trail for red-lining. |
