Comments
Comments: Bluebird day! Rock spikes went on a mile into hike and stayed on for the duration. A lot of ice flows on the ammo but the couple inches of snow cover provided adequate traction. The high winds predicted by higher summits never materialized and the milder temp made Washington a great choice for today’s hike. The Crawford Path to Wash. was well travelled and the snow packed, the only drifts encountered was on the Trinity Heights Connector, which had seen no foot traffic. The loose rubble on the cog path was frozen and had a good snow cover at the higher elevation. Didn’t see any mud until long after the waumbek warming station.

Few hikers out today. Shout out to the two newbies, who had hiked Monadnock and decided Washington should be next.
