| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking lot is a hot mess as usual. Combination of mud and huge deep puddles. Dorcester Road was just graded, so that was pleasant-it has been real rough this season. |

Had Smarts to ourselves this morning. First section of hardwoods has real annoying slick leaves. once on the summit cone intermittent ice showed up. I never felt the need to put on spikes. A few short sections of significant flows were easy to rock hop/circumnavigate. Margaret wanted them on for descent but quickly asked to remove them because too much bare ground. So spikes not really necessary right now but borderline in a few short spots depending on your comfort level. Margaret convinced herself to climb the sketchy tower steps! The wind was HOWLING it was very interesting as the stairs are pretty exposed. great views on top ranging from Killington to Washington. |
