Tricky shoulder season conditions today, beginning of trail was wet and covered in leaves, then ice starting 0.5 mile up in small patches. The light dusting of snow today made the ice extra tricky and added another layer of slippery onto the already mixed bag of conditions. Due to the nature of this trail- very rocky, eroded, and needing to choose steps carefully the ice seems to be in the all the places you will step. I was grateful to have on Hill sound spikes |
