Roads (Nash Stream and Trio Ponds) in great shape, even for my low clearance car. These roads may close soon for the season.
Walked past gate in search of the path to logging road. Had to meander in woods a bit to locate road, then took logging road to west of the pond before heading into the woods towards to West peak. Mostly open woods and many herd paths to the summit. At summit took a bearing towards the Middle peak, skirted south of Long Mtn pond. Recommend staying closer to the pond on the south side as we encountered many blow downs that slowed progress.
Once past the drainage from the pond, the woods opened up and travel to the middle summit was quick in open woods and on herd paths. Took a bearing north towards the logging road and our earlier route. Followed logging road and road back to the cars. |
