Comments
Comments: I knew today would be cold and windy, but I was disappointed that it didn’t clear out until I was down, about an hour before sunrise. So no views today. It snowed lightly most of the day. A couple of inches of fresh powder was a mixed blessing. The trees were freshly decorated, but it made for very slow going at higher elevations. The fresh powder kept the microspikes from gaining traction on icy slanted surfaces. That was especially true on the descent from Pierce to Mizpah, which was a bit of an adventure. I had to resort to butt sliding several times.
