Comments
Comments: Well we went for iso today and knew it would be a mess for rocky branch because we feel the need to keep the very wet trails like that forever it seems. We got to engine hill whack and we went for it. It was a little wet in the beginning but not terrible after that. We went off our old winter tracks and popped out nicely to hit the crossing we didn’t know we didn’t need by old shelter #3. We crossed back and took the spur .1 around. We continued on and put our spikes on as ice was starting to become significant. We crossed the river with no issues and headed up the water way we like to call a trail. Went we got higher it started to freeze more which was helpful foe the normal amount of mud that is on the trail. We hit the camp spots and took the short cut through the end to Davis path. Thankfully the mud here was frozen so we could walk like you should on a trail. Made it to the summit where it was quite windy and headed back down. We took a shot for the iso express as I did that 2 times in the winter and could see a herd path that way. I used my gps most of the time and just picked a good line jumping on and off some old prints and old paths. We hit the water crossed and had no issues. Went back up to the trail and soon after went for the engine hill whack again. I think it went a little smoother this time. We took spikes off before we went up this whack. We headed back down the trail and too the lot with no mishaps with all the leaves and loose rocks on trail. Iso thankfully done for November!
