Trail Maintenance Notes: None of the trails have names yet but they are marked well with metal blazing in various colors. At the junction of Red and Green trails, Red Trail is brushed in as if it is closed, but it's not. Also noted some blowdowns that had been cut but not yet removed.

Comments
Comments: A very early look at the new trail system at Teneriffe Mtn. Forest in Milton, a cooperative effort between Moose Mountains Regional Greenways and Southeast Land Trust Of New Hampshire. There's still a ways to go but the trails are open for the public to explore. Teneriffe is also a former fire tower peak and is the highest point in Milton.

The entire trail system follows old woods roads. Easy grades and easy walking although hidden-hazards-under-leaves season is in full effect. The ground was dry with some some tiny areas of frozen mud.

The true summit of Teneriffe Mtn (1,107 ft.) is just outside the forest boundary on private land but as of right now there are no posted prohibitions against foot travel and the MMRG map shows a trail to the top. Blue Trail leads most of the way there but blazing stops at the property boundary. Shortly beyond the summit the views open up a little, including a glimpse toward the White Mountains. Just downhill though is a private residence, so explore with care and respect the landowner.
