Comments: George Brook, Beaver brook, Asquam Ridge trail

Happy Thanksgiving! What better way to work up an appetite than hiking up the big moose this morning before stuffing my face at the Woodstock Inn. The previous days snow didn't amount to much more than 2 to 3 inches, and that was pretty consistent from top to bottom. I brought the snowshoes along thinking I might need them at higher elevations but the snow never got over my boots and there were still plenty of rocks right under the snow that would destroy the snowshoes. So light traction (rock spikes) worked best. It was definitely a bit spicy up in the alpine zone today. The moose never seems to disappoint when it comes to cheap thrills!
