Comments
Comments: Just an out and back to Hermit Lake Shelter today to check snow conditions. Packed icy snow at the start, increasing to about 6 inches with a packed footbed through middle section of trail. Approaching shelter snow was about 10-12 inches. We started out bare booting, but stopped and put microspikes on for sure-footedness, especially helpful on the down.

A couple people skinned up Tucks trail, a couple up Sherbie. Still some rocky spots here and there, but a good base forming.

Talked with one hardy soul who summited Washington today, many others just doing like we did to hut and back. Chatted with one person who submitted Washinton, reporting high winds and poor vis, per the forecast.
