Comments
Comments: Trail was busy the day after Thanksgiving. Clear skies, great views, muddy in many places, cold temps (10-15 degrees with low winds) on the top. Trail a mix of bare ground (lower) and a few inches of loose granular snow/ice (middle to top). Made it up the ladders, tunnel, ledges to both Morgan ledges and true summit bare booting. The most challenging part was the snow-covered boulders after you pass the ladders/tunnel to get to the top of Morgan.
Put on micro spikes at Morgan true summit to head to Percival. Had to turn back and took way around Morgan side w/o ladders as I was running out of daylight. Had spikes on most of the way down, and it allowed faster/sure travel. Should have put the spikes on the way up. Will return and go up the other way to Percival to check out the entire loop in the future. Great views and variety of trail challenges for the miles.
