| Comments: |
Put my spikes on at about 1.5-2mi into the trail to get through some blue ice areas. Most of the trail to this point had a good grippy snow crust. In the alpine zone and beyond it was deep in areas (12inches or so) but not consistent enough for snowshoes (yet). Water crossing was passable, super slick rocks but easy enough options to hop through. Overall smooth trail in shoulder season! |
