Comments
Comments: Beautiful day on Mount Washington! Lots of snow on the ground. We wore spikes (Hillsound trail crampons) door to door but larger crampons would also be useful. Lots of big slick ice floes where you would expect them coming up Ammo. Have heard reports of uncontrolled slides with microspikes. Sometimes the big ice just won’t grip. Other than that it was a stunning day, great trail conditions, tons of slippery slide snow to make things interesting. Wednesday - Thursday snow will add more layers to this. Jewell rocks were not completely filled in which made things a little tedious.
