| Comments: |
We donned microspikes at the very beginning and kept them on the whole hike. Snow was packed into ice on Lincoln Woods. Just a few inches of snow on Black Pond and the Black Pond bushwhack. The snow was deeper than I expected on Lincoln Brook and got even thicker on the climb up the slide. Thanks to the couple who went up the slide before us! The snow depth on the ridge was 10-12”. Nobody had snowshoes today and there was no evidence that anyone has been out there with them. We were fine with just spikes, but snowshoes would have worked on the highest elevations of this hike. On the way out, we took Brutus bushwhack and Fisherman’s bushwhack. |
