On carter moriah - the tree after south carter for sure will be a problem very soon. Brushing is needed ok every trail listed. There was more trees needing attention but my attention was other places by that point.

Comments
Comments: WellI was not sure what to expect today since I was out on friday… i barebooted all the way past carter dome. I had no issues with ice only too soft powdery snow. The snow was like beach sand again, taking a step forward ment your back step went further the other way. I only saw maybe only 12 people all day. The ridge was just straight powder with some ankle breaking rocks being covered. I would have loved to have snowshoes on but I would have wrecked them and not sure if it would have helped with the type of snow out there. I knew sterting at 9 was going to push me into the dark but not by much so I made it to my destination that I wanted, WildcatA. I had not made it to A a few Novembers ago and wanted to grid it out today. Temps were pretty decent with some wind coming in once I headed down dome. I spikes down dome, up and down wildcat, and the rest of the way out. There was alot of ice on 19 mile brook and regardless of headlamping, I would have kept my spikes on due to the ice. Glad to have gotten these peaks for this month! I can’t wait til it snows more so the snowshoes can make my life easier.
