warm day with no significant breeze, more sun then expected. shortly after starting out, increasing patches of ice alternating with crusty shallow snow. one could easily manage bare booting, but microspikes made footing easier. descending via ski trails, most areas covered by ~4" crusty snow, traction no issue.
