Comments
Comments: Lots of new unpacked powder, looks like about 3 inches around the trailheads and closer to 6 inches or a foot at higher elevations, with deeper drifts up to 2 feet. Crawford Path and Webster-Jackson Trail are nicely broken out by people in light traction but they could use a little snowshoe love. The trails are, however, still very bony at low elevations with lots of rocks and roots sticking out. I managed the whole route in snowshoes. On Webster Cliff Trail the snowshoeing is great and I think light traction would not be enough to navigate the deep drifts. Be aware of the sneaky ladder hiding underneath the powder on Webster Cliff Trail on the steep climb just above the Mizpah...
