Comments
Comments: PSA: snowshoes should minimally be carried. Crawford path to the junction was well packed, we opted to bareboot up, a few patches of ice here and there but easily avoidable. Whole new story after the junction over to Eisenhower, right after the junction we ran into loose powder, with shin deep drifts and a very unpacked trail. At this point we opted to switch to snowshoes. Snowshoes proved vital, there was a group of two in front of us with their pup that we met up with at the summit of Eisenhower, they broke out the trail in snowshoes (once again much appreciated).

With the 4 of us in snowshoes and another group of 3 in snowshoes the trail was starting to look great, ended up coming upon two in spikes on the trip to Pierce, trail was not looking looking great after we ran into them. Opted to keep snowshoes on for our trip to Jackson. The trail had been packed down by a couple of snowshoers but turned up by several barebooters. Snowshoes were not completely necessary, however snowshoes helped with some deeper drifts and the loose snow. Once we summited Jackson we opted for spikes down as Webster Jackson was just like Crawford Path, well packed and fast.
