Great day in the mountains. Barebooted till loop, could use spikes. I went up north with spikes, my rock spikes slipped a little on the steeps so you may want a little more traction. Since I was the last one out there today, I snowshoed between the peaks in an attempt to smooth out the trail - snow really soft and as noted in another report there is a lot of snow up there. Got my first sledding in for the year down south. There were 5/6 times I need to stop to get by a rock or branch. Snow was very soft and loose on south, hopefully my sledding will help to pack it down. |
