We wore snowshoes for the entire hike. One person was ahead of us and had broken out the trail, but it was all powder, so it didn't consolidate. Snow depth above treeline is approaching 2 ft and below treeline, much less, probably about 8 inches. We were treated to 360 degrees of undercast at the summit and moderate wind. The person ahead of us did a Gorge Brook, Carriageway, Snapper Loop judging by their snowshoe tracks. |
