Comments
Comments: Well I went out with snowshoes from the parking lot. There were 3 of us that started roughly at the same time all solo ladies. There was at least 6" in the parking lot and over 2' up high. I wore my tubbs and was not disappointed as I was able to have the tellevators which were amazing for this peak like always. It was 17 degree from the lot and it was only 21 when I came back down. It took about 3:18 hours for the first time snowshoeing for the season which is meh for me. The trail is very very soft and powdery. The trail is packed but not like a sidewalk as it is just powder and I would suggest snowshoes as spikes makes so much work that is unnecessary. I was the first to track out the side trail to the tram and I went up the nice groomed trail until I hit the top chairlift and went up that access way. The stairs are like a slide almost. I made the first tracks going up it and boy was it windy on top. I took a few photos and came back the way I came up. A quick trip down and there were about 12 people out there that I saw and only saw 1 with spikes on but she was boarding down. I saw prints from people that clearly turned around and butt slide down some as I never saw them at the top but saw their tracks. Chilly day out but good quick day for a 4k a day.
