Comments
Comments: turned out to be a beautiful day up high. had intentions to maybe tag madison, but in the end main objective was to go to star lake and poke above the trees briefly. saw fresh tracks from a fellow hiker up until brookside juncture, then i broke trail going up valley way the rest of the way. spikes were the move all the way up to the tentsite. from there, shoes went on until just a little past the tentsite on the way down. the wind was blowing good, for my shoe tracks were covered/buried pretty much as i started back down. sets of bear tracks near the lower bruin/valley way juncture, fittingly. looks like they are still out and about bopping around.
