Bare booted Tecumseh trail up to sharp turn that takes you away from ski slope...where things start getting steep. From there we wore microspikes. You will want your good spikes from that point to the top. Ice is much more prevalent, with a bit of snow over it in most places. Saw that one person had worn a full on crampon that wasn't overkill in a couple of short sections, but the microspikes did fine. Definitely no need for snowshoes anywhere. We did loop trail near top...then did Sosman out to the top of T bar lift. Some nice view points along that 1/2 mile side trail. Great view from top of Tecumseh, which, I hadn't remembered being the case in the past...maybe some clearing done? Wore spikes most of the way back down. |
