| Comments: |
The first half of the trail is wet with running water carving its way through the shallow snowpack. The water isn't deep but it's loaded with muddy leaves and the warmer temps today allowed it all to be soft and sticky. This will create a ton of ice once it gets colder. For today, bare boots are the choice here to avoid balling of snow. The upper half was less wet with packed down snow. It started snowing at a decent rate on the descent which left a couple inches of fresh snow on the trail. |
