| Comments: |
Some minor snow cover with icy patches, but mostly bare ground to the ledges. About half way up the ledges the spikes went on. Upon entering the woods at the top of the ledges, the ice was more consistent. Sharp spikes are needed for some of the flows. Ice and snow to the summit. Not much wind, but overcast. On the way back down it was snowing and left about 1/2" of cover over the icy patches. One had to be careful. Only saw 4 others on my hike, and a couple just starting off when I was leaving. More rain forecast for Monday, should really put the icing (pun intended) on the cake. |
