A couple of blowdowns on the western leg of North Peak Trail. This trail also has inconsistent naming. On maps it's called North Peak Trail but on signs it's called North Peak Loop. |

Took a quick spin through here today after an appointment in Plymouth to get some updates.
Conditions were a mixed bag. In general, south-facing slopes were mainly bare. North-facing slopes still had some frozen snowpack but traction is not needed. North Peak Trail also had some mud and water. Along this trail, a recent timber harvest has opened up a nice view toward Plymouth Mtn.
Since no one was riding today, I looped over South Peak by descending Tambora Mtn. Bike Trail. NEMBA has done a nice job with the trail construction and my 14-year-old self would have been all over those swooping banked turns! |
