Comments
Comments: It was a great day to get the Tripyramids! After the thaw freeze the trail has set up nicely and is very firm from bottom to top. Speaking of set up nicely...there must of been some bare booters who came through earlier this week when the trail softened up and did a number to the trail bed. It is riddled with ankle twisting holes with no new snow to fill them back in. Since I didn't feel like breaking an ankle the snowshoes stayed on the backpack and spikes or hillsounds were the best choice for the day. I was anticipating deeper snow on the ridge but it was more of the frozen ankle twisting mess across the ridge from North to Middle. Aside from the Frozen posthole mess of a trail it was a beautiful blue sky day in the forest, and to make it even better I was the only soul out on the Tripyramids today
