| Comments: |
This is tough time of year to climb these two. No snow to speak of, so no traction with spikes or snowshoes. Intermittent ice everywhere so spikes not needed in some spots, but then 100 feet up the trail a sheet of ice. We did not wear spikes until we crossed over Morgan and headed for Percival. At that point we decided it was easier just to leave them on. The caves and surrounding cliffs were somewhat treacherous with ice. It was a bit hairy in spots. BUT, an enjoyable hike on a crisp day. |
