| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ravine Lodge Rd at the start was very icy this morning. My 4X4 Tacoma with snow tires climbed it fine with a bit of momentum. I crawled down on the way out, it would be easy to end up in the drainages if not careful.
Parking at the second gate, there were I was the fourth vehicle when I arrived shortly after 9AM. One other vehicle there at noon. Each vehicle was either a truck or SUV. |

| Comments: |
Snow was soft but the base was supportive as of today. It was a little choppy from all the boot traffic. I carried snowshoes but stayed in spikes until they started balling up on the way down so I just bare booted out. With the warm temps snowshoes will probably be a good idea tomorrow, snow is deep just below treeline.
Mostly in the clouds above 4k ft. Higher summit forecasting high winds today, I was prepared for and hoping to experience some gnarly gusts on the summit, but it ended up being pretty tame. |
