Light Traction |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Both water crossings were doable, although I put my spikes on for the second major one. Rocks were slippery. My trail review is pretty irrelevant now as now the water in Lincoln is hazardous. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog Vince did great, as a seasoned whites hiker. This is NOT recommended for many dogs though due to the length of the hike. Plenty of water to drink on the trail throughout the day. Took Brutus up instead of the slide and he did fine. Good day for us! |

Although this review is irrelevant now due to the heavy rain and flooding in all of NH, I still always post one! Very long day, and although I saw 10 total people near the summit, I didn't see anyone throughout the day. Lincoln Woods was extremely icy and slippery, I wore spikes the entire time. Black Bond was well broken out and had a hard time finding the start of the bushwhack [bushwhack or herd path?]. It was much easier on the way back to Black Pond. Brutus was icy and slippery, very slow going. Overall a great day in the whites (even with that walk out of Lincoln Woods that seems to take forever!) |
