Comments
Comments: Well I was first on the trail and summit today. I barebooted until I was too cold (3700’) I am good flatfoot walking. Could have easily put them on lower. There is ice with a dusting of snow from yesterday. Up higher there is a very hard snowpack to the summit. Very boney right now. I love my snowshoes but no place for that right now. Spikes are the way to go!! Wind was pretty brisk so I took my photo and left with some nice wind color to my face. I didn’t see my first person til I was back lower than the junction. I then soon passed another lady with a dog and then 2 other people before making it back down to the blowdowns to clear those up before heading to the truck. Clear skies today and I spiked all the way back down til it wad too boney about .4 left of trail.
