It was a 5-star day and beautiful hike. Some frozen ice around switchbacks and ledges, but microspikes not needed. Great up and back about 6 hours. Spoke with some hikers on the top who came up Chambry Falls. They said microspikes required on switchbacks because of ice and said the rivers were high for crossing. One of their group stepped into the water - tough way to start a hike. Stick with Piper. It was great! |
