I did the loop c'clockwise on a nice sunny day with no wind. As in a previous post, there was some patchy snow and ice in the first 1/4 mile from the parking lot. The west side was almost void of snow and ice,so no traction needed here. On the east side after the ledges, some icy sections, where I put my spikes on. Once down in the open hardwoods, I took them off until the parking lot. Nice chatting with a few of the hikers out today. |
