| Comments: |
Bare booted until appx 2.5 miles up nineteen mile bk trail, appx 2,400’ until minor water crossing then put on microspikes to step on icy rocks. Microspikes were best choice all the way to the Dome, south and middle Carters. Continued with microspikes all the way down to about 2,600’on imp trail. After that went back to bare boots as minor ice down low was avoidable. Note there was a good amount of ice for a couple miles on upper Imp and North Carter trails. Sharp microspikes were best choice. Snow shoes shouldn’t be needed until next snow storm. |
