Comments
Comments: A spectacular day above treeline to finish off my final trail of the WMG. Started up Valley way in bare boots. Hillsounds went on a half mile below the tentsite and stayed on most of the hike. Remnant snow pack appeared at about the tentsite as well. Above timber is a mixed bag of ice, snow and plenty bony. Star Lake trail had seen some traffic so it was fairly easy to follow. Winds were relatively calm all day the most of which I experienced on Adams as I enjoyed my celebratory Moxie. The jaunt down Airline was a bit tedious. Below treeline it was crazy icy including actively forming ice flows. Spikes went off around Beechwood way and made it to the trailhead just as dark set in.
