Comments
Comments: This was mostly a trip to perform my property adopter duties for LRCT’s Sandwich Notch-Dinsmore Mountain Conservation Area, but I also ended up bushwhacking to Dinsmore’s summit and scoping out a few view ledges.

After a short walk on the Sandwich Notch Road, I started ascending the mountain just past Pulpit Rock and soon arrived at a series of south-facing ledges; while most had restricted views, I eventually reached a nice unobstructed one at 1,940 ft., from which I could see parts of Squam Lake. I continued due north up another set of steep ledges en route to the summit, but did not find any views comparable to the one I had just seen. From the highpoint I followed the western ridge back down to the Notch road, finding mostly open woods; the entire trip was bare ground with a few avoidable sections of ice near the ledges and on the road.
