Comments
Comments: A fun, fast day on the Coos County stairmaster. Barebooted to 3000 feet then threw on the spikes. Kept them on for the remainder of the day since it gets icier as you go higher. The ridge between Starr King and Waumbek has about half a mile of fast, crunchy packed snow which is a good reminder of how fun snowy winter hiking can be.

Two Gray Jays at the top were very active and made for some good photos. And there might have been a moose nestled in just past the summit lookout point, but we avoided confirming what we think we saw out of caution.

Saw a few folks without microspikes today - would not want to be them on this trail.
