Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Several minor crossing, not bridged, need to be careful, spikes will help with rock hopping. Could be easier just to use contractor bags and walk across, they are short and water isn't dangerous. On I believe the fifth crossing, look up stream and there is a tree across stream, makes it much easier to use for a railing. Last major crossing has water on trail with significant ice, wasn't thick enough and you could go thru, not deep but be safe and keep your boots dry.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No trail issues, well marked and signed. You could tell water was running down these trails from previous rain, but nothing bad.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None seen.
Bugs
Bugs: None felt.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Packed snow and ice is off and on thru out hike except between north and south, hard packed all the way. The only issue is that you will wear out your spikes between the snow and dirt/rocks, hiked on side of trail where there was snow. We didn't put on spikes until we got on Hancock loop trail. My advice is to bring an old pair, save your newer or better ones, and use the old ones all the way!
